Das SMACC People by @TheTopEnd published on 2017-06-26T09:34:13Z This is the playlist of almost all of the #Jellybeans recorded at #dasSMACC in Berlin in June 2017. You can play them individually or the entire playlist. Notice that some of the tracks/Jellybeans are "Private" with a little orange lock symbol beside them. This is because they are being held for a special release date or require a little audio tweaking. Most of these will be released on Lifeinthefastlane.com and the ICU related ones will also go to IntensiveCareNetwork.com Most importantly any of the wonderful people that talked to me find any detail (large or small) that displeases them then please get in touch with me directly and it will be changed in any way you wish. The organisers of SMACC, the committee and "The Association Specialists" were very good to give me a private room to record in and the interviews were only interrupted a few times. The room does sound a little "tinny" but for me sound quality takes second place to being able to have a proper chat. I still talk too fast and have a funny accent. All the subjects speak better than I do. I am what I am. Meet student volunteers Claire and Saskia from St.Emlyns. Meet Aidan Baron the researching Paramedic. (@Alittlemedic and https://paramedicresearch.org) Meet Christina Hernon @EMedTox who wants the world to change. Meet the young surgeon Hanna Kaade @hannakaade who trained and qualified in Aleppo, Syria while under siege. Listen to Sandra Viggers talking about SMACC on ICE. (Which surely must be a future theme for the conference.) Meet Gregor Prosen, the brilliant emergency physician telling a story about a sort of pre-hospital palliative care in Slovenia. (We speak about a previous podcast with Sara Nikolic @MedicalSinger as they know each other well.) Meet Hazel Talbot, the woman who moves the tiniest patients around the beautiful norther english counties. We talk about a fear you may have and you probably don't need. Meet Victoria Stephen debunk what we think about the place of trauma in the greater South African emergency medicine story. Meet Rinaldo Bellomo research legend after his confronting face off with the combative and comedic Peter Brindley. Meet Mike Abernethy, possibly the longest serving Flight Doc in the USA. (Definitely in Wisconsin!) Meet Jonah Roche who has a simple brilliant plan to make the irish police happier and the public safer. (I cannot tell you how funny this man is with a beer in his hand. Try to meet him in that context before you die.) Meet Sarah Sultan. Poet. Activist. Medical Student. Budding prehospitalist. An inspiration to me. I really mean that. Meet Chris Hicks. Pushing boundaries and making sense of some complex human factors stuff with such exquisite style. Meet Michelle Johnston again. The conspicuous woman of letters within our growing community. If the Jellybean you want to is marked private just now then maybe come back later if there is one that you are interested in. Or wait for the general release on the fabulous "#FOAMed sites in the future. For all the people that were asking why they are not on iTunes/Google play I will in the next few weeks get that done (finally). (probably)
