If you're on LinkedIn, you're now part of a community with 500 million members. Is that the top of the mountain, when it comes to global popularity? Or is it nothing more than base camp, compared with some of the planet's even larger groupings?
Context is everything. After a few minutes of rummaging around Statista.com and a few other sources, I've come up with an eccentric, 16-item list of really huge communities. If you're in the mood to be wowed, now you know that LinkedIn's membership totals exceed the total population of the U.S. -- or the number of fluent Hindi speakers on earth.
