Alec Baldwin — who once called his daughter Ireland “a rude, thoughtless little pig” — is hosting an evening of bad-parenting horror stories at Carolines on Broadway on March 23.
“Admit it. You’ve been a bad parent,” the invite says. “Whether it’s too much screen time, ice cream for dinner, or that conversation about sex and drugs and … Trump, we have all done things we later question.”
Baldwin, who also has three children with his second wife, Hilaria, will introduce a variety of comics who will share their most pathetic parental performances.
Asked why Baldwin would volunteer to be the poster boy for bad parenting, one associate told me, “Guess it is better than running away from it.”
Baldwin was going through a bitter custody battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger in 2007, when Ireland, then 11, failed to make a scheduled phone call to her father, so he left her an angry voice mail soon heard round the world.
