One of Jordan Brand's longest-tenured signature athletes will see his namesake footwear line come to an end. ESPN's Nick DePaula reports that the Jordan Melo M13, released in late 2016, will be the last of Carmelo Anthony's Jordan Melo sneakers.

Per ESPN, Anthony re-signed with Jordan in January for a long-term deal and will wear new models like the Jordan 32 and custom retro sneakers going forward.

The latest sneakers from the Jordan Melo line have been released to increasingly less fanfare, and the Melo M13 was barely mentioned on Nike's news website.

Russell Westbrook will help fill the absence left by the folding of Anthony's sneaker line with the debut of a coming performance signature shoe.

UPDATE 10/11: Jordan Brand has issued a statement on the future of Anthony's signature line.

"Melo is a long-time and respected member of the Jordan family," a spokesperson told Sole Collector. "As is the case with all Jordan family athletes, we work together with Melo on a footwear plan each year, and no decisions have been finalized about future models."

Additionally, Anthony himself called the story "false news" in the below video.
