Beast Battle Simulator is exactly what it sounds like

The early access physics sandbox let us put a minigun on a miniature dachshund

Beast Battle Simulator is a physics playground that hands you dozens of animals, dinosaurs and deadly weapons, and gives you permission to run wild. Pteranodons, miniature dachshunds, bears, sharks and seagulls all await your command.

So what can you do with this diverse toolset? Well, you can start by reimagining the traumatic death of Mufasa in Disney’s 1994 classic The Lion King. What if things were different? What if Timon and Pumbaa had traveled back in time to help him? What if they had guns?

In our inaugural stream, Beast Battle Simulator answered all these questions and more.

This game was meant to be streamed, and it’s not the first of its kind. Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator each offer different takes on the format — the former focusing on unpredictable emergent physics, and the latter emphasizing sheer scale and countless types of combatants.

Beast Battle Simulator is being developed by Dog Hoggler, and is available now on Steam Early Access for $9.99.
