Mysteries & Histories Beneath the Inland Seas

Explorer Valerie van Heest talks with us about some of the many discoveries in the Great Lakes.

The Michigan Shipwreck Research Association is hosting an event on Saturday, March 24, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

It's in Holland at the Jack H. Miller Center on the Campus of Hope College.

The event brings together some of the biggest names in shipwreck research and discovery in a fun and entertaining environment for an evening of shipwreck tales.

Programs include:

  • Ships That go Bump in the Night by Dan Fountain
  • The Last Whaleback Steamer Clifton by David Trotter
  • The Mystery of the Lizzie Throop by Craig Rich & Valerie van Heest
  • Return to the John V. Moran by Jeff Vos and Valerie van Heest (Deep dive video!)
  • The True Story of the Baby Jane by Valerie van Heest

Tickets are $13.50 in advance, $16 at the door and free with various membership levels.
