Samsung Health app might reveal a change in design for the Galaxy S9

There have been some rumors stating that Samsung could show off its latest handset, the Galaxy S9, as early as January. While we won't have to wait long to see whether this rumor pans out, it looks like a new piece of information gives us a glimpse of some possible changes that are coming to the handset in 2018.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ were fine handsets, being praised by most reviewers and consumers alike. But one thing that didn't sit well with most is the fact that the fingerprint reader was so close to the camera lens. Well if a new screenshot is to be believed, the upcoming Galaxy handsets might change things.

The image shows off the Samsung Health app and instructions on how to use the heart rate sensor. If you look closely, you can see that the sensor is placed next to the camera, where the fingerprint reader used to be on the Galaxy S8. This could mean that fingerprint reader on the next phone could be relocated.

Naturally, this is all speculation and rumor at this point, but it is a bit interesting, considering that most were not pleased with last year's positioning of the reader. If all goes to plan, we should hear some news as soon as January. If not it will hopefully be only a few months more.
