Light-Up LED Lashes Are Fit For a Sexy Robot Dance Party

Just when we thought that magnetic eye lashes were as futuristic as beauty gets (Those suckers attach with no glue!! Science is amazing!), our best and brightest minds hit us with light-up LED eyelashes. And if you happen to be a robot on your way to a rave, you're definitely going to want to get in on this futuristic fabulousness.

According to NHK, Japan's national broadcasting corporation, a team of professors from the country's Ritsumeikan University has developed the product "at the request of a major cosmetics company." A tweet from a Korean tech company confirmed the brand in question is Shiseido.

The falsies are attached to a wireless neon green antenna that's just over one inch long. Although so far only robots have rocked the style, lead Professor Takakuni Douseki and his team will soon conduct tests on human subjects to determine the product's safety. So if you're looking to be a cosmetics guinea pig, you better get your tuchus on a flight to Japan.

According to NHK, the team creating the falsies are all male. However, one student involved in production told the outlet that the group "relied on advice from female students" when crafting the lashes.

Social media seemed divided on the look, with some mentioning that it resembles something out of a Black Mirror episode.

Whether you think it's creepy or chic, there's no denying these puppies would make you the life of the party!
